Thanks to a generous donor, our families and friends can see Gore's award-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth absolutely free on the big screen this Sunday, June 17, 2007. The two showings – 11 am and 1 pm -- are in English with Greek subtitles.
The event will be held at Ciné Sophia (tel 210 991 7094) in the southern suburb of Argyroupoli. It's easily accessible by car or public transportation from anywhere in Athens.
The event is open to all. It is sponsored by Democrats Abroad Greece and HELADA, with participation by WWF-Greece and International Nature Network. Yvette Jarvis, Mayor Kaklamanis's special advisor on immigration, will be mistress of ceremonies. Feel free to bring literature to promote your own non-profit causes.

to Ciné Sophia: The theater is at Efstathiadi
2 just south of Plateia Iroon Polytechniou/Agia Triada church,
opposite a branch of Alpha Bank. From Leoforos Vouliagmenis, take either
the 2nd (Olympic Air sign) or 3rd Argyroupolis (Praktiker) exit and head
uphill.
Set a good example by using public transit. The nearest bus stops are Iroon
Polytechniou (in the plateia, lines B4, 101, 160, 201) and 5th
Argyroupolis (on Kyprou, lines 154, A4, 140).
From Ag. Dimitrios Metro Station
take Bus 154 south on
Leoforos Vouliagmenis. On Sundays it leaves the station at 1005,
1035, 1100, 1130, 1200, and 1230. Get off at 5th Argyroupolis, and walk
